September 15, 16 & 17 2017

The meet will be held at the Lake Mayfield Resort and Marina, 350 Hadaller Road, Mossyrock, WA.  There are RV spaces, cabins, rooms for rent, camping spaces and a good restaurant at the Resort. For reservations at the Resort, call
360-985-2357.  When you call or are checking in there, be sure to tell them that you are with the Antique Outboard Motor Club. They give us a special rate, and assign us boat slips together in the dock area.  Note: A few of us will be arriving on Thursday, the 14th.

To get to the meet, take I-5 to US Hwy 12, south of Chehalis. Go east on Hwy 12 for about 12-13 miles, to where the road crosses the Lake Mayfield Bridge. About 1/4 of a mile east of the bridge, turn right (south) onto Winston Creek Road. Go about 1-1/2 miles and turn right onto Hadaller Road. On Hadaller Road, keep right at the "Y" and continue into the Resort.

We will again have our Fall Lake Mayfield Raffle.  Bring motors for display, to sell and trade. Also bring some things for the raffle pile, such as motors, parts, accessories, etc. The tickets will be sold for $1.00 each, and the proceeds from the sale will go into the Chapter Operating Fund. These proceeds are the main reason we have not needed to raise the annual subscription fee for the newsletter.  To quote Jerry, “And, we thank the folks who keep bringing the necessary raffle items.”

Don't forget to bring your boat! Lake Mayfield is a great lake for boating; many interesting places to see. We will probably have some organized trips up the lake during the weekend. Bring your fishing gear. Sometimes the fishing is really good. We catch mainly trout and Kokanie, but if you're lucky, you might tie into a Tiger Musky. They were planted in the lake years ago and you might catch one.

We will be on our own for dinner on Friday.  There is a restaurant at the resort.  On Saturday, the Chapter will buy pizzas for us. Salads, desserts, etc. will be provided by the club.  Bring whatever food and drink you will want for the rest of the weekend.

As Jerry would say, "The Lake Mayfield Meet is shaping up to be our premier meet of the year, so get your boat and motors ready and we'll see you there, in September."

*DAVE & SANDY HOLTZHEIMER'S SNAKE RIVER  WET MEET - Friday, Saturday, Sun., 29th, 30th Sept, 1 Oct.

The meet will be at Boyer Park & Marina on the Snake River south of Colfax, 1753 Lower Granite Road, Colfax, WA.  Note:  Drive past the town of Dusty on Hwy 26, turn right onto Sommers Road.  Travel a short distance to Almota Rd. and turn right.  Follow it down to the bottom, turn left onto Lower Granite Road, and travel a short distance to Boyer Park and Marina.

Sandy and Dave will arrange to have pizzas for Friday dinner, along with salads and dessert paid for by the club.  It won't be necessary for anyone to bring anything else to add to the meal.  On Saturday, we will be on our own for dinner. Most of us eat in the restaurant at the park.   Bring whatever food and drink you want for the rest of the weekend or eat at the restaurant for the rest of your meals.

Bring your boat and motors and let's have Big Fun on the Snake River. We hope to see you all there.  For some of those who enjoy walking there is a trail that borders the Snake River.
